People and the org chart
The directory, profiles, employment history, and CSV import.
Finding someone
- 1People shows everyone. Search matches name, job title and email as you type.
- 2The filter pills — department, location, status, type — show counts, so you can see the shape of the company without running a report.
- 3Export CSV exports exactly what you are looking at, filters included.
- 4Switch between the table and the card grid with the control on the right.
A person's record
- 1Overview holds contact details, emergency contacts and the employment timeline.
- 2Job holds their role, reporting line and direct reports.
- 3Documents holds files, grouped by category. PDFs and images preview inline through short-lived links rather than being downloaded.
- 4Compensation is visible to HR only — managers have no access to it at all, anywhere in the product.
The employment timeline is built from an append-only table. A correction is added beside the original rather than replacing it, so the history shows what was recorded and when it changed.
Importing a CSV
- 1People → Add person → Import from CSV.
- 2Upload the file. Headings are detected automatically where they match; correct any that did not.
- 3Read the validation report. Problems are listed per row, and you can download them as a file to fix and re-upload.
- 4Duplicate emails can be skipped or used to update the existing record — you choose which before anything is written.
The org chart
People → Org chart draws your reporting lines from the manager field on each record, so it is always current. Click a person for their details, or the count on a node to collapse their team. Anyone not yet in the reporting structure is listed separately underneath rather than being left invisible.
Does this not match what you see on screen? That's a bug in the guide — tell us and we'll fix it.
