For managers
Approvals, your team's calendar, timesheets, and goals.
You see your reporting line and nobody else's. That boundary is a database policy, not a hidden menu — a request from another team does not exist for you rather than merely being out of view.
Your approvals queue
- 1Approvals collects four kinds of work in one place: time off, overtime claims, attendance corrections, and timesheets. The counts sit on the tabs, so one glance answers whether anything needs you.
- 2Each time-off card shows their remaining balance, how many days the request uses, and who else on the team is away that week.
- 3Approve applies the deduction to their balance in the same moment the status changes — the two cannot disagree.
- 4Declining requires a note. 'Declined, no reason' is the state nobody can explain six months later.
You cannot approve your own request, even though you are a manager with an employee record of your own. The database refuses it.
Timesheets and overtime
- 1Approvals → Timesheets shows the weeks your team has submitted.
- 2Approve, or return with a note explaining what needs fixing — the note is required by a database constraint, not just the form.
- 3Overtime is claimed by the person who worked it and approved by you. You can approve fewer minutes than were claimed; the difference is visible to them.
