For admins

Set up the workspace: people, leave policies, holidays, and invites.

You created the workspace, so you are its owner. This is the shortest path from an empty organisation to one your colleagues can use — about half an hour, most of it spent deciding rather than typing.

Add your people

  1. 1Go to People and choose Add person.
  2. 2For a handful of colleagues, use the two-step form. For a whole company, choose Import from CSV.
  3. 3The import shows you a mapping screen: match your column headings to the fields, then read the validation report before anything is written. Rows with problems are listed individually and can be downloaded as a file to fix.
  4. 4Imported people arrive with the status Onboarding rather than Active — a bulk import is a draft of your org, not a statement that everyone started today.

Adding someone to the directory does not give them a login. Employee records and sign-in accounts are separate on purpose: a person can exist in the system long before they get access, or without ever getting it.

Set your leave policies

  1. 1Settings → Leave policies. Each type has a plain-language summary sentence under it, so you can read back what you have configured.
  2. 2Choose how it accrues: monthly, granted annually, or not at all.
  3. 3Set the annual allowance and, if you allow it, the carryover cap.
  4. 4Decide whether half-days are permitted and whether the balance may go negative.

Add your holiday calendar

  1. 1Settings → Holidays. Create a calendar, then add dates — or paste a list and check the preview before saving.
  2. 2Calendars can be organisation-wide or scoped to a location, so offices in different countries get their own.
  3. 3Copy to next year duplicates the dates without shifting them by weekday. Fixed holidays stay put; lunar dates move by rules no arithmetic can infer, so treat the copy as a starting point and correct it.

Invite the team

  1. 1Settings → Members → Invite. Pick a role: owner, HR admin, manager, or employee.
  2. 2Managers see their own reporting line. HR admins see the organisation. Employees see themselves and the directory.
  3. 3Resending an invitation mints a new link and invalidates the old one, so a stale link in someone's inbox stops working.

Does this not match what you see on screen? That's a bug in the guide — tell us and we'll fix it.
